Our Approach

What We Do

ABACUS is an independent, BCBA-owned early intervention practice located in Raleigh, North Carolina. We provide individualized, in-person treatment targeting the core deficit domains of autism spectrum disorder for children ages 1½ to 4 years.

Treatment focuses on establishing functional communication and foundational language skills, alongside the development of social engagement and interaction, joint attention, and independent and reciprocal play.

Our treatment model integrates the analysis of verbal behavior with components of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), emphasizing engagement through naturalistic teaching approaches. Intervention modalities and teaching formats are individualized through ongoing assessment of the child’s needs, current level of functioning, preferences, and response to treatment.
